Dr. Drill

Those are some artworks I made that are centered around a character I call 'Dr. Drill'. I wanted to go for a contrast of creating something very animal-like that acts extremly civilized, sophisticated and even philosophical at times. It's almost some sort of "inverted-anthropomorphism".

His face is heavily inspired by that of a mandril. He is more of an introvert and often prefers thinking over talking. I tried to mirror this in a very subtle and minimalistic range of facial expressions.

He usually outclasses verbal opponents with his high rationality and rather nihilistic world view.
